Week 1, again.

Okay, I’m starting this diet over again. I messed up the first time. I was doing okay at the start, but I blew it. I don’t want to think of this as the same diet and exercise plan, because it’s not. I’m changing up my routine, and I’m going to push myself to get this weight off. CalorieCount didn’t work. I was watching my calories so closely, that I wasn’t getting enough food. This time, I’m going to do portion control. (A small, divided plate instead of the large one.) With fruits or veggies with every meal. If I go over the calories, I’m not as worried, because I’m going to be making healthier choices. I’d rather go over the calorie amount with a salad, instead of a hot pocket. I’m also going to be doing the Hundred Pushups program, along with ah hour on the elliptical every day, unless I’m hurting from doing it so much.

Starting Weight: 218.0

Here we go again…

Week 6 Weigh In

•September 22, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Well, this week was rough. The cough is still lingering. I’m almost over this thing, and with the new elliptical placed in the living room, facing the TV, I’ll probably be exercising, instead of just sitting there. My mom finally decided to join me on my diet, so that should help, having some support around. I’ll need it to get over what I saw on the scale this week…

Starting Weight: 217.8
Goal Weight: 200
Last Week Weight: 217.2
Current Weight: 219.2
Weekly Weight Change: +2 lbs.
Total Weight Change: +1.4 lbs.

Yuck. Well, I’m off to do my exercise for today! Hundredpushups.com (W2D1) and an hour on the elliptical is my goal.

KSL Rocks.

I just got the chance to get a free elliptical machine. I love KSL’s local free ads! Picked it up, and strapped it in my dad’s Toyota Corrola. (NOT the easiest car to try and get it in to…) It’s now in the living room. It works great, and even has a heart rate monitor! SWEET! It’s also perfect timing, as the bad weather is starting to settle in for a long winter, here in SLC. One thing that I saw as amazing, is that walking/jogging (moderate effort) burns about 500 calories/hr. The elliptical, with light effort, burns almost 800/hr! That should definitely kick start my diet!

Week 5 Weigh-In

•September 15, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Okay, I’ve been sick for a week now. I think I’m finally over this, just a slight cough, but nothing that liquids can’t fix :) Unfortunately, my diet/exercise didn’t happen, so I’ve gained some weight back…

Starting Weight: 217.8
Goal Weight: 200
Last Week Weight: 216.0
Current Weight: 217.2
Weekly Weight Change: +1.2 lbs.
Total Weight Change: -0.6 lbs.

The weight trend is off, as I haven’t been weighing myself enough. It’ll be back next week! Now that I’m over this cold enough, I’m going to start running again, and watching what I eat! If you fall off the horse, get right back on it…

Week 4 didn’t work…

•September 10, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Okay, I didn’t weigh in, and I didn’t exercise. I have a reason though. The dreaded back to school cold. I get it every year, even though I’m homeschooled. Ugh. As soon as I’m over this, I’m back to jogging…

Week 3 Weigh-In

•September 1, 2008 • Leave a Comment

This week, I haven’t been tracking my calories, or weighing in every day. I just used by best judgement to eat less, and healthier, and…

Starting Weight: 217.8
Goal Weight: 200
Last Week Weight: 216.4
Current Weight: 216.0
Weekly Weight Change: -0.04 lbs.
Total Weight Change: -1.8 lbs.
Weight Trend: 215.94
Weight Trend Weekly Change: -0.3 lb.
Weight Trend Total Change: -1.9 lb.

… it looks like I did a pretty good job! I think it’s in my mind, that I need to make better choices, and exercise more, so I might be able to get in enough of a mindset to lose this weight! :D

Week 2 Weigh-In

•August 25, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Well, Week 2 wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. I tried to be good, but it’s hard, when nobody in your family is eating healthy. 2 days in a row now, we’ve had Mac & Cheese. Then Chinese, then Pizza. It’s really getting me down, because I need to save 1400 calories for dinner alone around here! I’m going to keep TRYING to lose the weight, but if my parents don’t start getting supportive, It’s going to be hard.

Starting Weight: 217.8
Goal Weight: 200
Last Week Weight: 216.4
Current Weight: 216.4
Weekly Weight Change: 0.00 lbs.
Total Weight Change: -1.4 lbs.
Weight Trend: 216.2
Weight Trend Weekly Change: -0.6 lb.
Weight Trend Total Change: -1.6 lb.

Not as bad as it could have been, but it could have been a LOT better.

Keep on jogging…

Okay, this is the longest I’ve ever stayed on a diet. Ever. I feel great, and I’m able to jog a lot easier and longer than when I started. I’ve added an extra .25 miles onto my route, and hopefully it’ll stay that way! I’m hoping to get a Nike+ system soon, either an armband, or the iPod Nano kit. (Probably the sportband as it’s cheaper…) What do you guys think? Is it worth the money?

Week 1 Weigh In

•August 18, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Okay, I’ve been fairly good on my diet, except for the weekend. I’ve gone over by about 200 calories every day, but I’ve stayed under what I’m expending.

Starting Weight: 217.8
Goal Weight: 200 (date is cancelled, as party is postponed. A lot less stress.)
Current Weight: 216.4
Weekly Weight Change: -1.4 lbs.
Weight Trend: 216.8
Weight Trend Change: -1 lb.

Not too bad. If I’m losing, I’m happy! :D

For those of you who are saying: “What’s a Weight Trend?”… The “Weight Trend” is where you weigh yourself every day, and Calorie Count figures out what your real estimated weight is. Because of water weight, weekly weighs only might be off by a pound or two. The trend eliminates most of that.

Bad Day for Dieting…

•August 16, 2008 • 1 Comment

Okay, I admit it. I went off the diet today. We went on a day trip up to Cascade Springs (Flickr Photo Set) and had a blast, but I didn’t stay on my diet. I Uncrustables, Cracker Snacks, and El Pollo Loco aren’t that good for me, but I was able to do quite a bit of hiking. Maybe it evened out… Okay probably not. Does anybody have suggestions on how to stay on your diet, when you’re going out on a day trip?
